CHANGES IN THE WEATHER......SLIPPING THEN SPLASHING!

Here's our collection of ice pictures, followed by pictures of what comes with warmer weather...monster puddles!

This is a winter's worth of ice on top of a dirt side street.
Coming out of the back door of the church, I had to get this picture of ice on top of untouched snow.
The frozen Volga River
A nice slick sidewalk (ice, not water) with Volga River in background
This was ice and since it had been walked on before it froze completely, it was difficult to navigate.
We crossed this plaza, walking on the sand trail that is visable.  Makes for much easier going.
This day our parking lot was solid ice.  The door with side panel is the one we enter to get to our elevator.
Krasnoarmesky: Heating pipes
The abandoned park we cross to get to Krasnoarmesky church.  Looks like at one time it was a nice park and with a bit of attention, could be again.
Close-up of path across park showing stilletto heel marks in snow.
Not a good time to relax on a bench.
Flowers had been tossed ahead of a funeral procession and then iced over by the next day.
The Krasnoarmesky church is the building visable at the far end of this road.  We had a lot of dodging to do on Sunday.  Which is better....puddles or ice?
Sis. Parker had waterproof boots, Sis. Kreshisnek didn't.  We titled this one "She's not heavy, she's my companion".  (They shared this with me, we weren't there)
Krasnoarmesky lake.
That's one way to wash a marshrutka!
