Here is an odd assortment of food pictures. Maybe I'm hungry or running out of ideas for the blog...or a little of both!

This was served at an Enrichment Night...caviar sandwiches.

Easter cakes

A branch social: Easter cupcakes and to the left, my cinnamon rolls

Roast suckling pig in Segovia, Spain (it was yummy and at least my piece didn't have a hoof!)

At a sidewalk cafe in Segovia.

Most typical refreshments at church. Ludmilla is pouring juice (сок).

A yummy and store-bought cake for a birthday party for Katya in Volzhsky.

For a picnic...spread it all out, sit around the food and enjoy!

Onions ready to be grilled over the fire. Mmmmmm

шашлык (pronounced shashleek) .....Now I AM hungry.

Ice cream cake before being cut in Kaunas, Lithuania

Ice cream cake after being cut...out of this world....we had it every night.

Any guesses???? Right it's borsht....but everyone makes it different...it's a lot like stew.

Sveta serving up her borsht.

Elder Hanks didn't have such good luck when cooking his favorite cake. He even e-mailed his mom for the recipe, spent a fortune on the ingredients, slaved for hours and .......

took a picture, tasted it, gagged and threw it in the garbage. We actually all had some, but there was no way it was going to keep until later without going soggy, and it really wasn't very good fresh!

Another picnic, later in the summer with more garden produce.

Everyone helps prepare.

Our latest picnic last month..more шашлык!

....and watermelon! Always lots of good food, surrounded by great company and many fun times!!
