LOOK WHO'S COMING TO RUSSIA!!!

John's sister, Jeanne, and her husband, Dave, have been called to serve in our mission!  They will be here in January.  They are experiencing all the varied emotions we had when we first received our call.  As for us, we are excited for them to have this experience!

MORE ABOUT FOOD

Yesterday, Sunday Oct. 11, we had the whole zone over for dinner.
No pie tins, so cake pans work well.  Chocolate, banana cream, lemon
Elder Howard made us this healthy breakfast while they were visiting
This package of yeast holds 1 Tablespoon
cinnamon and coconut in largest amount I can buy
vanilla and baking powder
powdered sugar...about 1/2 C in package.  I have to hunt for this.
Great way to package mayo...easy to use.
wonderful COK (juice) comes in many flavors
the milk we buy...has shelf life (unrefrigerated) of 1 year.
milk
Sorry, I didn't rotate this, but this is the bread we most often buy
Yummy brown bread we often buy...very good.

This is silly, but Elder and Sister Howard wanted me to post it.  We were having fun with whipped cream.  I told them this was the way I whipped it.  They talked me in to going and getting a hand mixer.   You can't hear it, but the silly smile at the end was because Elder Howard said, "Ahh, Russia!"

SNAPSHOTS OF SEPTEMBER

Seminary/Institute teachers and leaders-Volgograd District
Another fun Family Night at Center Branch
Family Home Evening at our apartment.  We don't give tests...they are trying to solve a puzzle.
Out of all fairness, this 'sweet little boy' (who I have labeled RT) was happy washing dishes for a few minutes at FHE.  It worked only once, but it worked, thus the picture!
Pres. Zemstov (District Pres) and his mother and grandmother(92).  We went to visit after he broke his foot.
Last Saturday's Seminary/Institute Opening Social-holding to the iron rod.
This is pretty much the whole Tractorny Branch.  They all joined together to make pillows and had a great time.
Juliana introduced Nikita to the church.  This is after his baptism last Saturday.
Good-bye to Elders May, Aubebokerov and Mosenlov.
