It happened....spring has fully sprung!

Part of zone training was a hike to Utby Mountain.

In the Botanical Garden

 Alina, harpist, and Katya, oboeist.  It was Katya's
final exam.  They are both Russians.  We know Katya
through Alina.We wanted to hear Alina play harp
to accompany Katya.

People can't wait to eat outside and sometimes are
all wrapped up in blankets (provided by the restaurant).

Three similar ads with children crying appeared
around town, "Some children are forced to
go to Mallorca (Crete or Italy) this summer".
(They are crying because they won't be able to
go to Liseberg, the big amusement park).

Then after two weeks those ads were replaced with
these, "Download the laughapp to your smartphone
Happy children guaranteed!

Our first walk through the Botanical Gardens this year.

Even some early rhododendrons were in bloom.

The little white flowers are everywhere in the forests
this time of year.  They are called vitsippor, "white anemone".

This afternoon we went to the Göteborg City Museum (the
building with the green roof).  Crossing the bridge, we saw
that the open air boat tours have begun.

People enjoying the lovely day.  Not super warm,
but sunny!

John chose korv and mos for lunch (hot dog and mashed
potatoes).  He used to have it often when he was here
50 years ago, bought from a kiosk and served in a paper
tray, just like today.  Only thing not just like today was in
1963 he paid the equivalent of 12¢ for it and today he paid
the equivalent of 100X that amount!

And a bike race....so many signs of spring in Göteborg!
