SUMMER: CAME AND WENT!!!!

It was a hectic summer that seemed to fly by. But when I see these pictures I realize that we really did quite a lot of fun things with family and friends.

We spent a fun few days at the cabin with Camille, Matt and Lisa.

Grandsons getting fishing tips from grandpa on fishing trip/picnic at Manila Pond

We cheered on Camille and her friend as they ran the Dirty Dash at Soldier Hollow. (Is this the same Camille who couldn't stand to have sticky hands when she was small?)

We welcomed lots of visitors to the cabin. Most were invited and expected!

Fun in early July with Lena, Mike, Lyosha, Sasha and Olga

We had a great time with family at the Stadium of Fire on July 2nd.

David Archuletta was there....

And Brad Paisley and a few other tens of thousand people.

On July 4th we hiked Waterfall Canyon in Ogden with Lisa's family.

Steak dinner followed a sod laying party. Family and returned missionaries helped us lay sod and we provided a steak bbq.

A summer rainbow from our backyard.

Enjoying another Russian visitor-Leeza Nechiporova, our mission president's daughter who came to expereince trek and EFY.

A hike up Battlecreek Canyon and down Grovecreek Canyon with Olga.

A day in Salt Lake with Megan doing baptisms for family names and meeting Niel for lunch.

Fishing at Strawberry Reservoir with Garrett and Zander. They are proud they had the biggest catch of the day!

Pat and I spent a couple of days in the Bay Area to help our brother Bill celebrate his 82nd birthday.

Sisters and granddaughters had fun at the cabin. Jalie and Pat, me and Megan.

A hike to Silver Lake with Matt, Kevin, Scott and Lisa. Each of the boys caught a fish. A week later Grandpa and Lisa, Camille, Kevin and Matt hiked to the top of Timp and had a great time sliding down the glacier. I didn't want to ruin myself right before vacation, so I stayed home this time. They called when they reached the saddle and Olga and I saw the 5 of them through the scope standing on top waving.

We spent a few days at Goosewing Dude Ranch near Jackson Hole with Sasha, Lyosha and Olga. Our friend Katya is working at the ranch for the summer.

Katya was able to camp with us in the Tetons and spend a day in Yellowstone with us.

Labor Day we had quite a crew at the cabin and this bridge across our stream at the cabin was built in a few hours.

All in all...quite a productive summer!
